Hi, I’m Christo Djananov a.k.a. DJ Harry. I’m born in the 70ties, an April 25th in Sofia, Bulgaria. My childhood years were all about rock, disco and funk, so I became a huge collector of various music. Vinyls and CDs have always been along in every part of my life.
I got interested in electronic music when I was 19, Kraftwerk and Pink Floyd heavily influenced me. At the end of 1995, while in Germany, I heard for the first time in my life a continuous DJ set, played on three decks. It was at a party with Paul van Dyk & Dr. Motte. And so, I became completely obsessed with electronic sound.
In 1996 I started my DJing carrier in club Ecstasy, located in the capital Sofia. I quickly became famous with my minimal-techno style, by the time - unknown to the Bulgarian club society. After this I played in other well-known capital clubs – Yalta, Chervilo, Spartacus, Lifehouse, etc. I also played on bigger parties, like: Metropolis – December 08, 1999, with Westbam and Dr. Motte; Techno Files – March 25, 2000, with Andrew Richley, Metropolis 7th Birthday Party - TIME TO GROW UP on April 04, 2003, with Sven Vath; Metropolis in December 04, 2004 - THE SOUND FACTORY with Carl Cox. For the last 10 years I’ve made my own way in the underground scene and also played at many private parties, mainly with limited audience to 100 or less people.
I’m reckoned for my passion in experiment, mixing Bulgarian and foreign retro hits: disco, funk, jazz, Bulgarian folk.
At the beginning of 2004 I dedicated to House Music, in which I got really involved. Currently I play different styles of house music, that I enjoy most.
